Spring is here which means a whole new batch of allergies is out to get us. Hay Fever, Lingering Warm Weather, Pesky Leaves, and School Allergens just to name a few. Allergies mean sneezing, coughing and runny eyes and nose. Allergies mean the risk of you and your kids getting sick skyrocket. Let’s talk about how to beat those allergies.
1. Wash Your Hair
The dirt and dust that causes all of the sneezing and sniffing can get trapped in your hair. Washing your hair daily will clear all of the gunk from around your face creating a clean atmosphere for you to breathe.
2. Take a Bath (instead of a shower lol)
According to one study, seasonal allergy (hay fever) sufferers had a more extreme reaction the day after performing a stressful task.
“Stress raises levels of the hormone cortisol,” says Clifford Bassett, MD, an allergist at New York University Medical Centre, and that often leads to an amped-up allergic response.
A soak in the tub will do just the trick. Besides, you deserve the treat!
3. Clear Your Nose
“Your nose is like a car windshield—pollen sticks to it,” says Neil Kao, MD, an allergist at the Allergic Disease and Asthma Centre, in Greenville, S.C.
Make sure to always keep it clean, not only for you but for everyone around you.
4. Wash Your Bedding
Wash all of your bedding weekly in water that’s at least 60 degrees celsius. A study in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology found that this temperature wiped out all dust mites.
4. Sanitise Your Phone
Chances are that when you sneeze or cough your phone was somewhere near to catch it all. PhoneSoap 3 will sanitise and charge your phone in 10 minutes leaving you to worry-free about spreading germs and bacteria. Spread Love NOT Germs.
